Did you miss the convention??? You missed alot...information, fun, fellowship...did I say fun???? Well here is the convention in a nutshell! As has been done since 2007, Lucy Hendrikx and Rebecca McCarrell attempt to capture the highlights of the day in a daily news bulletin! Some of their zany messages come through in the wee hours of the morning...lack of sleep, lots of work, and doing what the CWL does best...fellowship. Hope you will join us next year for the FUN! FELLOWSHIP! and most of all....sharing of FAITH! See you in Stratford, April 22 - 24, 2013

Roger Lawler, FACE brought the good news of Catholic Education to the 92nd London Diocesan Catholic Women's Leauge of Canada convention. His presentation was filled with the background of how Catholic Education became publicly funded. He drove home the fact that it is our duty to the ones who worked so hard to bring us public funding to protect it. For information on his presentation, please see the documents attached. His video presentation is available from Education and Health Committee Chairperson.

Father Thomas Rosica started the convention with a bang by con celebrating the Opening Mass of Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the 92nd Annual Catholic Women's League, London Diocesan Convention. Celebrating in honour of Blessed Kateri who will be canonized on Oct. 21, 2012, he addressed the participants with the story of Kateri's short life of dedication to our Lord. As the key note speaker the same morning, Fr. Tom explained the dangers and the attributes of today's social media...facebook, twitter, etc. and the future with reduced person to person contact. He cautioned us to what we post in any of these mediums. Fr. Tom continues his work with Salt & Light TV, as well as several other hats including President of Assumption University in Windsor. As we ended the week, the University announced several new coursees available that will enhance and promote Catholic Education. Father reminded us that Salt & Light TV streams live from their website. All their programming is available in this manner. Fr. Tom's key note address and his documentary on Blessed Kateri is available for download in the document section.
